The journey

A choice that changed thousands of lives

This isn't a résumé. It's a story of conviction, sacrifice, and the kind of stubbornness that builds things that last.

Early career
From the heartland to the world
Born and raised in the heartland of India, Sunil built his technical foundations through sheer determination—eventually earning a place in the global IT industry and working in the United States, where most would have stayed permanently.
2006 — The decision
He came back
While building a comfortable life in the US, Sunil made a decision few would make: return to Indore with his family and build something that could serve the students of India—students who had talent but no access. He left behind security to bet on his hometown.
The founding moment
2006
SUNRAYS Technologies — "Skill India" before it was a slogan
Sunil founded SUNRAYS Technologies (later rebranded as Rays EdTech) with one mission: create employable IT talent from tier-2 India. Not just teaching syntax—building careers. The institution became a factory of confidence, where graduates left earning ₹1 lakh per month and more.
Education
2006 onward
NCS^ — enterprise technology, built from Indore
Simultaneously, Sunil scaled NCS into a serious enterprise IT firm—delivering mission-critical solutions for Fortune 500 companies, governments, and international institutions. Proof that world-class technology services could originate from Madhya Pradesh.
Enterprise
UNICEF collaboration
Building one of the world's largest newborn health platforms
Sunil architected the FBNC (Facility-Based Newborn Care) application for UNICEF, which was adopted by the Ministry of Health, Government of India. Processing 8+ million newborn records and generating analytics across 122+ health indicators, it became a global benchmark for newborn healthcare systems.
Global impact
Platform era
CuickDev — no-code for the enterprise
As AI and digital transformation became boardroom conversations, Sunil built CuickDev: a no-code, low-code, serverless application platform trusted by the Government of Gujarat and SCHOTT Poonawalla Group—processing over 100 GB of data per day.

The Self-Learn book series
Recognizing that not every student could afford a classroom, Sunil created the Self-Learn series—practical, accessible, affordable books that put Java, Python, Data Science, and AI in the hands of students who needed it most. Published under Rays Publication.

Rays EdTech turns 20 — and the work continues
Two decades in. Over 50,000 students trained. Over 5,000 careers built. The Economic Times Changemaker Award. The Karamveer Award. But more than trophies, what matters most is the simple fact: graduates from small towns across India are working at MNCs around the world—because of what Sunil chose to build here.

Sunil is not a consultant who designs systems on whiteboards and hands them to others. He is a hands-on technologist—someone who has written the code, debugged the production issues, and architected the systems that his clients depend on.

His deepest expertise is in Java enterprise architecture, where he earned the moniker "Java Man of India" not as a marketing title but as a recognition by peers and students who have learned the language through his teaching and books.

In recent years, he has gone deep into AI, LLMs, and GraphRAG—bringing the same hands-on approach to generative AI as he has brought to every technology across three decades.

He speaks at universities, corporate training sessions, and technology events across India—translating complex topics into clarity that practitioners and decision-makers both appreciate.

Looking ahead

The work is far from done

"My goal has never been to build companies. It has been to build people—and in building people, everything else follows."

The next chapter involves AI-first education, enterprise intelligence, and expanding access deeper into India's tier-2 and tier-3 cities—where the next generation of technologists is waiting for someone to believe in them first.

AI-first education — Rebuilding curricula around generative AI, LLMs, and practical deployment—so graduates enter the workforce ready for 2030, not 2010.
Enterprise AI for India — Bringing intelligent automation and GraphRAG-powered knowledge systems to government agencies, healthcare institutions, and mid-market enterprises.
CuickDev at scale — Evolving the no-code platform into a full enterprise-grade AI application layer, accelerating digital transformation for organizations that cannot wait for custom development timelines.
Deeper into Bharat — Taking the Rays EdTech model beyond Indore, to the districts and towns where talent exists but opportunity doesn't yet reach.
Global recognition for India-built products — Proving, continuously, that software architecture and product innovation don't require a Bengaluru or Silicon Valley zip code.
